Advanced Wheel - Thursday Evenings

Our Advanced Wheel course is designed for potters who have a solid foundation in throwing and are eager to refine their technique, tackle more complex forms, and push their creative boundaries. Over six weeks, students will build on their existing skills while exploring advanced throwing techniques, precision, and intentional design. With guidance from an experienced instructor, you'll be encouraged to experiment, challenge yourself, and develop a more confident and consistent approach to working on the wheel.

What You'll Explore:

• Throwing Larger: Work with greater amounts of clay while improving centering, control, and wall consistency.

• Complex Forms: Explore taller cylinders, narrow-necked vessels, closed forms, and more challenging shapes.

• Lidded Vessels & Fitted Components: Learn techniques for creating well-fitting lids, galleries, and complementary forms.

• Trimming & Refinement: Elevate your craftsmanship through thoughtful foot design, proportion, and finishing techniques.
