Spring ClayCamp: Wacky Water

We offer a different project each day of Spring ClayCamp, so you can register for either session per day (there is a morning session from 9am-12pm or an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm) and have a new creative project to make each day of the week! This event is for Wednesday, April 8th.

Soak up all the colors and sounds of nature in this fun garden themed Clay Camp! While clay and ceramics are at the heart of each session, young artists  (ages 6-10) will also experiment with a mixed media activity on theme. Participants will create two projects: a ceramic watering bell and a bright mixed-media garden painting.

Youth artists will create a garden painting featuring a 3D watering can using paint and simple drawing techniques. Then, artists will work with clay to build a watering bell using hand building techniques. They will use slabs to form clay, add surface textures,…
