Painting Party: Sharks!

Ever wanted to feel shark skin? See the growth bands on their vertebrae or the rows of teeth up close in real life!? In this workshop, we will glaze sharks but also have the opportunity to look at real shark specimens with scientist, Dr. Sora Kim. She is a professor at UC Merced who studies how sharks respond to the changing climate and has been featured on Shark Week the past three years! Come with all your shark questions!

Each artist will be able to make them as funky or fresh as they'd like! The finished pieces will be coated in a shiny gloss and fired in our kiln. Your items will be ready for pick-up approximately four weeks later.

All ages are welcome to participate in this workshop.
